We are excited to announce that Sciton’s HALO (Hybrid Fractional) laser skin treatment and BBL (BroadBand Light) are now available at All Saints Skin Clinic in Darlinghurst.

Both skin treatments are non-surgical and non-invasive, and work to improve skin tone, redness and skin texture. The difference is that BBL uses light therapy to target ageing and sun damage, and the HALO is essentially a fractional laser, providing results for skin rejuvenation.

Visible results just 30 days after one HALO treatment at All Saints Skin Clinic Darlinghurst.

HALO laser skin treatment

What does the HALO laser skin treatment do?

The HALO laser skin treatment is the world’s first Hybrid Fractional Laser (HFL). It works to rejuvenate the skin at a deeper level by delivering both non-ablative and ablative wavelengths for visible results.

Who is the HALO for?

The HALO is the preferred treatment for patients who want to resurface their skin improving tone and texture and skin strength. Visible results are seen in just one to two treatments. It is also suitable for scarring, however more treatments are required to treat this condition.

What areas of concern does the HALO treat?

  • lifeless/dull skin
  • ageing
  • pigmentation
  • acne scarring
  • large/noticeable pores
  • wrinkles
  • fine lines
  • sun damage
  • scarring

When will I notice results?

Just a few weeks after one treatment.

Is there any downtime?

The HALO is a comfortable treatment when compared to other traditional fractional resurfacing treatments. Patients can go back to work the next day with makeup, and the skin requires as little as three to four days downtime. We recommend using Oxygenetix makeup post treatment. This is a breathable full coverage makeup designed to be used after treatments.

Immediately after treatment the skin feels warm like a mild sunburn. This subsides within two hours. The next day there is mild swelling and the skin will appear pinkish in colour. By around day three there maybe some brown crusting that starts to peel. And by day four to five, you will notice fresh new skin!

Halo treatments can be done all year round. However the majority of patients choose to do treatment in the cooler months when they are spending less time outdoors and find it easier to avoid the harsh Australian sun.

We recommend that patients avoid the sun for one month after the HALO. The skin is sensitive, and the sun can cause thickness, pigmentation and the breakdown of collagen.

It is also important to protect from the sun long term and use active cosmeceutical skin care to maintain your result.

How long does the HALO go for?

1 hour and 45 minutes: 30 minutes is required to apply numbing cream. The HALO treatment goes for about one hour. Allow 15 minutes downtime immediately after the treatment.

BBL (BroadBand Light) treatment

What does the BBL (BroadBand Light) treatment do?

The BBL (BroadBand Light) works to reduce pigmentation and redness in the skin without breaking the skin surface. This results in a more even tone to the skin and over time we also see improvement in texture secondary to new college formation.

Who is the BBL treatment for?

The BBL treatment is for anyone who has pigmentation, redness and capillaries secondary to sun exposure. It is also suitable for people with rosacea.

What areas of concern does the BBL treat?

  • pigmentation
  • acne skin
  • redness
  • discolouring
  • rosacea
  • capillaries (associated with redness)
  • Red scarring

When will I notice results?

Just seven to 14 days after one treatment.

Is there any downtime?

Downtime is minimal. Expect mild swelling and redness post treatment. Freckles and sunspots will also go a darker colour. This peels away after five to seven days. You can put a full face of makeup immediately after the treatment.

How long does the BBL treatment go for?

Just 30 minutes.
